Year: 2017
Client: Kulturhistorisk Museum
Project: These objects were part of Kulturhistorisk museums’ exhibition “KOLLAPS” and the shape was chosen in collaboration with artist Filipe Tohi. I was responsible for prototyping and production of 150 blocks. They’re made in a flexible foam so people can play with them and stack them in different ways. It’s surprising to see how many stacking possibilities are possible with the shape. We chose 2 different densities to create a more interactive and educational experience.
The molds for producing these shapes turned out to be quite complex but after lots of testing worked very well. The talented Regine Gamlem from Black Crane Productions gave advice on making the mold. The exhibition was designed by Adam Bartley.
