Shoe Moose

For the new kids library of Tøyen I designed and produced a full scale moose for storing the kids’ shoes. It has a shoulder height of 1.7m, is 2.4m long and has storage space for 30 pairs of shoes. And though originally not intended, the antlers turned out to become a nice hanger for jackets as well.

I made all the production drawings and scaled everything down for making a quick prototype on the laser cutter, to make sure everything can be properly assembled. Then I produced and numbered all the pieces and made an instruction manual so the people from Artisan Tech AS could assemble it themselves.

This project was in collaboration with Artisan Tech AS, who also came up with the idea.
